They say that imitation is the biggest form of flattery. If you are imitating something and acting in manners you know are not you...Is that really flattery when you take someone else's image, idea, verbiage, movement, is it really flattery? I have been thinking about this now for a while; having gone to four funerals within the past 5 days and those that know me, know that I HATE FUNERALS! Period! I HATE THEM. Understand now that I am talking about funerals...not death. because that is the best part of your life, death is. I hate funerals because I don't think people overstand death, not knowing what death is about, not knowing that there is an ending to one thing and beginning to something else makes the process of life well worth it. Don't you think. But this imitation thing really bothers me to the core. I don't understand the purpose of not wanting to be YOU...ME! We are all created for the upliftment of the most high creator, and we were all created to be a standard. So with that knowledge no one should be trying to act, sing, stand, talk, walk or cry like anyone other than themselves. Because we are there with the creator dwelling within us. Having a full sense of who we are is the best for of flattery to offer. Any thing else would be an insult the the person that made you? that was question. In everything we do there has to be the purpose for why is this being done. Why am i so upset that my name was called last, Why am I bothered by what people say and do, Why am I angry that I didn't get anything for my Birthday. Its Purpose. Purpose creates a cause and effect which is the sole reaction to things we think should be happening as opposed to what is really going on. I am not the smartest apple on the tree but I am well aware of who I am , whose I am, and why I am. Which makes me different. I like that word different, not identical, separate, distinct. Yes I love that word its unique, incomparable, peculiar, offbeat, novel, strange. It means I am not expected to be like others nor act like others because I am set apart...CHURCH GOERS call that sanctified. I am not trying to flatter anyone but the MOST HIGH. We shouldn't take offense to what people do or say because most people speak out of anger and second guess themselves within the next moment. We are suppose to stand in spite of what the enemy throws at us and not worry about people trying to be someone else. But that imitation is flattery thing stills makes me wonder. What's the PURPOSE for doing YOU?!
